This program specifically seeks to recognize traditional higher education degrees.

When do I submit an application?
Applications should be submitted upon completion of the higher education degree. You will need to attach a copy of your degree to the applicaction.
What is the purpose of this program?
As a corporation, BVI seeks to encourage the attainment of higher education by our shareholder membership and would like to see our higher education program grow. Currently, BVI does not have a high number of individuals graduating from degree programs. On average, BVI sees a higher education graduate every three years.
BVI wants to help cultivate a sense of community among shareholders by sharing accomplishments of higher education graduates and further motivate shareholders to continue to complete their studies and further their education when possible.
Does this program recognize other types of educational pursuits?
BVI recognizes that higher education is not the only path to success yet it is an easily-recognized method to education achievement with clearly established degree types and standards. This program by no means intends to diminish other forms of personal/professional development demonstrated through an endless range of certificate and training programs; it is simply not the focus of this program.
This program specifically seeks to recognize traditional higher education degrees. The type of degrees recognized are: Associate's (AA), Bachelor's (BA/BS/BSN, etc.), Master's and Doctorate degrees (JD, MD, PhD, Psyd, etc.).

The vocational education scholarship program functions as a reimbursement program. Applications are submitted after you have registered and provided payment to the institution you are pursuing vocational education through.

Bay View Inc. will provide up to $2,000 to shareholders to assist in financial obligations associated with the loss. Funds will be paid directly to vendors.
